The last of the Balrogs falls (falls)

Rise from the pits, beasts on wing
Ruin on high, and death they bring
Thunder and lightning, a tempest of fire
The Elves cry in pain, a beautiful choir
Great Rushing Jaws, defending my palace
An onslaught of claws, a maelstrom of malice
Drive them now back, with Envy and Hate
Proud dragon lord, hold Angband’s gate
These long forty years, this brutality
Now shall end in fire (fire)
Vast wings paint the sky, span the mountainside
Burn the light to ash (ash)
All fall to the dark, all shall know their place

Safe within, their mountain home, too deep they delved, and awoke the nameless fear,
They know not what, they have found, their own demise, their lord’s bane
And so this mine, is now a tomb
Five thousand years since it last fed,
Dig deep defile it’s slumber
They shall breathe their last breath
They will know their death
The mountain is lost to flame
Shadow envelopes a proud legacy
Timeless, immortal, uncountable slain,
Fire for flesh, unholy name, a creature of pain
Of this world, but not this age, awakened fiend, unfathomed rage
Ashen bone, and searing whip, no home in light of day
Wanderers lost, venturing far from home,
Through friendly door to threatening hole,
Fire in the depths losing friends of old,
Flight shall find you free, but not for those who fell
Timeless, immortal, uncountable slain,
Fire for flesh, unholy name, a creature of pain
Of this world, but not this age, awakened fiend, unfathomed rage
Ashen bone, and searing whip, no home in light of day
Demon’s sword burn bright,
Turned in white flame
The fiend falls not alone,
Cold enough to freeze blood
Still the fiend burns
The wizard strikes felling a mighty foe
Wizard’s demise
High atop the mountain path
From the peak they plunge
And so both breathe their last
Hope not lost, for he that fell
Sent back to the world,
A story left to tell.

Lord of a dead flame
Rest in his profaned city
Demons of stone, Witches of blood
Protect his dark throne

Subjugated, enslaved. Monstrous form, Warriors heart, Proves his valor.
Defender, Guardian. Standing alone. Earns his freedom, with his blood.
Unbeaten, Unbroken. Taking the crown. A heavy burden, fate is cruel.
Why trust a monster
To be a lord of men.
Entrusts the sword
To friend and rival
If madness takes him
And so it comes to this
Only the storm shall slay the giant
Flame of life, fading low. Warriors mind. Monster’s heart, proves his vice.
Defender, no longer. Love is lost. Earns his vengeance with their blood.
Unbeaten, now broken. Corrupting flame. Slayer of men; Fate’s cruel joke.
And so it comes to this
A grim vow to uphold.
An old friend turned foe.
Only the storm shall slay the giant.
My grave task
Wield the storm
Battle joins, blood flows. Vicious storm. Monster’s heart, proves his might
Murderer, unchained. Standing alone. Earns his glory\ with blood.
